😋💕 和菓子 ~ 𝓝𝓮𝓻𝓲𝓴𝓲𝓻𝓲 𝓦𝓪𝓰𝓪𝓼𝓱𝓲 💕😋

This is my first attempt at making the stunning Japanese confectionery known as Wagashi!

I was enamored with these gorgeous nibbles on my adventures around Japan. Not only are they very pretty, but they are a harmonious (and rather healthy!) sweet treat to be enjoyed with matcha.

Wagashi are vegan, gluten free and not as sweet as my other loves; macaron 😝 Traditionally these confectioneries are served at traditional Japanese tea ceremonies- I feel very honoured to be able to try and make such a treasured gastronomic tradition at home!

I owe a huge thank you to the incredibly talented @bembum.kitchen for sharing her recipe and techniques on YouTube- if you would like to try making Wagashi, I highly recommend viewing her video 🙏🏻
